Letter to UN Secretary General Concerning the Continued Iranian Bombardment of Kurdistan

Subject: Continued Iranian Bombardment of Kurdistan

Dr. Ban Ki-moon                                                                                  

We are forwarding this letter to you as a briefing on the Iranian bombardment of Kurdistan. The area being bombed by Iran is located between the borders of Eastern Kurdistan (Iranian Kurdistan) and the territory of Kurdistan Regional Government in Southern Kurdistan (Northern Iraq).

During the last thirty years the Iranian regime has turned Kurdistan into a large prison. It is not an exaggeration to call that part of Kurdistan, the largest open-prison in the world. The Kurdish people in Iran live under very harsh political, economical and social conditions. There are thousands of political detainees; the unemployment is almost 80 % while economical plundering of Kurdish area has reached its peaks.
The Iranian regime has increased its military suppression against Kurdish people thus enhancing further the human rights violations.

Unfortunately, the world community is only busy with Iran’s defiance of the international community in regard to its nuclear program. The Kurdish question has been neglected or observed very little. The increased violations of human rights of Kurdish people have not yet gained any priority.
The Iranian heavy artillery and warplanes are bombarding Kurdish areas continuously both inside Iran and Iraq. The bombardment has gone on for almost a month now and it is getting worse. Though, the actual bombardment has been going on for many years now and is getting heavier and heavier.

There are many civilian causalities and many people have been forced to leave their homes and work.
Iran tries to make a military zone as a belt to safeguard its military outposts at the expense of Kurdish civilians. 

Usually the Turkish and Iranian bombardments is in the remote mountains where the borders of Iraq, Iran and Turkey meet, but in the recent times both sides are pushing further into the civil populated areas, mostly villages and fields, especially during work-seasons.

We are calling on the UN, human rights activists and democratic minded people around the world to support our call to stop the Iranian bombardments of Kurdistan and to condemn the Iranian regime's unjustified and violent response to the peaceful protests by the Kurdish people.

The act of bombardments causes not only instability in the Federal Kurdish Government-KRG in Iraq but also in Iraq as a whole.

بابەت: بۆمببارانکردنی کوردستان بە بەردەوامیی

ئێمە ئەم نامەیەتان بۆ دەنێرین تا بە کورتیی سەبارەت بە بۆردومانکردنی کوردستان لە لایەن دەوڵەتی ئێرانەوە ئاگادارتان بکەین. ئەو ناوچەیەی ئێران بۆردومانی دەکات کەوتووەتە نێوان سنوورەکانی ڕۆژهەڵاتی کوردستان (کوردستانی ئێران) و ناوچەکانی حکومەتی هەرێمی کوردستان لە باشووری کوردستان (باکووری ئێراق).
ئەو سی ساڵەی دووایی دەولەتی ئێران کوردستانی کردووە بە زیندانێکی گەورە. زێدەڕۆیی نییە بڵێین کە ئەو بەشەی کوردستان گەورەترین زیندانی سەر ئاوەڵەیە لە جیهاندا. نەتەوەی کورد لە ئێران لە ژێر بارودۆخی سیاسیی، ئابووریی و کۆمەڵایەتی دژواردا دەژی. هەزاران زیندانی سیاسیی هەن، ڕێژەی بێکاریی خۆی لە ٨٠ ٪ دەدات و بە تاڵان بردنی سامانی کوردستان لەو پەڕی توندیایەتی

ڕژیمی ئێران سەرکوتگەریی سەربازیی خۆی دژی خەلکی کوردستان زیاتر کردووە کە ئەویش بووە بە هۆی خراپتربوونی باری مافی مرۆڤ لەوەش زیاتر کە تا ئێستا هەبووە.
بە داخەوە، کۆمەڵگای جیهانیی زیاتر سەرقاڵی بە ژێربارنەهاتنی حکومەتی ئێرانە سەبارەت بە پرۆگرامە ئەتۆمیەکەی. پرسی کورد یان پشتگوێ خراوە، یاخود هەر زۆر کەم سەرنجی دەدرێتێ. هەتا ئێستا لە ڕۆژەڤی کۆمەڵگای نێونەتەوەیدا مافگەلی مرۆڤایەتی بۆ کورد نەبووە بە یەکێک لە خاڵە سەرەکیەکان.

تۆپی قورس و فڕۆکە جەنگیەکانی ئێران، چ لە ناو ئێراق و چ لە ناو ئێران خۆیدا، بە بەردەوامیی کوردستان بۆمبباران دەکەن. ئەم بۆردومانە وا پێ دەنیتە یەک مانگ و تا دێت خراپتر دەبێت. لە ڕاستیدا بۆردومان هەر هەمیشە لەسەر کوردستان هەبووە، بەڵام ئیتر دژوارتر بووە.
قوربانیی سیڤل بەئەژمارن و خەلکێکی زۆر نیشتەجێ و شوێنی کاری خۆیان بە جێ دەهێڵن. ئێران بەو شێوەیە لە هەوڵی ئەوەدایە کە لەسەر حیسابی دانیشتووانی کوردستان، زوونێکی سەربازیی بە مەبەستی پاراستنی سەنگەرەکانی پێشەوەی خۆی، دروست بکات.
عادەتەن تورکیا و ئێران ناوچە شاخاویەکان و دەوروبەریان کە دەکەونە نێوان سنوورەکانی ئێران، تورکیا و ئێراق، بۆمبباران دەکەن، بەڵام لەم دوواییانەدا هەر دوولایان زیاتر و زیاتر دێنە قوڵایی ناوچەی دانیشتووانەوە، بە زۆریی گوندەکان و کێڵگاکان و بەتایبەتیش لە کاتی بەروبوم و بەرهەمدا.

ئێمە داوا لە نەتەوە یەکگرتووەکان، لە پارێزەرانی مافی مرۆڤ و چالاکوانی دیموکراتخوازان لە جیهان دەکەین کە پشتگیریی ئێمە بۆ وەستاندنی بۆردومانەکانی ئێران بکەن و زەبروزەنگی بێ دەلیلی حکومەتی ئێران دژ بە نارەزایی ئاشتیخوازانەی دانیشتووانی کوردستان مەحکوم بکەن.
ئەم بۆردومانانە هەر بە تەنیا نابێت بە مایەی ناسەقامگیریی حکومەتی فیدراڵی هەرێمی کوردستان، بەڵکو هەروەها سەرجەم دەولەتی فیدراڵی ئێراقیش.
